What you’ll be doing
You’ll be managing a high-performing film and photography team of five people, using your excellent leadership and communication skills to support them in producing engaging, audience-led content.
Your highly skilled, dynamic team will work across a variety of briefs, delivering impactful content to build brand love, raise money, and engage supporters – from Instagram reels, to the production of DRTV adverts, to the development of a podcast series, to commissioning shoots for our services across the UK and overseas. Variety of work and fast pace will be the norm.
Working alongside internal teams, you’ll negotiate demands whilst maintaining great working relationships, and ensure that content is delivered on time and to budget through solid production processes and workflows.
*This exciting role offers flexible working between home and our London head office in Moorgate.
Meet the team
Reporting to the Head of Creative Content, you’ll be joining our diverse and hugely talented creative content team – made up of film and photography producers and editors, story gatherers, designers, copywriters and vital production support. (We were also named the in-house creative team of the year in 2021 at the Inside Out awards, in case you missed it…)
Your previous experience and excellent skills from the industry, either in-house or agency (and ideally having worked with NGO/non-profit clients) will ensure you can hit the ground running.
This role might be for you if…
You are passionate about leading a talented film and photography team, and putting your love of producing engaging multi-platform content and visual storytelling to good use.
Your substantial experience managing a busy team in a fast-paced organisation, paired with your excellent influencing and negotiation skills, will enable you to plan and prioritise projects in line with strategic priorities. You’ll be a strong problem-solver, who’s no stranger to dealing with finite budgets and resources.
Your knowledge of maintaining excellent production workflows, right through from brief to delivery across pre- and post-production, and using smart tools and processes, will ensure a smooth delivery.
You’ll play a leading role in, and genuinely enjoy, helping to build a culture of collaboration and learning across the organisation – by working directly with peers and stakeholders, encouraging great communication and constructive feedback, shaping brilliant briefs and responding to creative challenges together, and proactively using results to optimise content and inform or inspire the next creative solution.
Closing date for applications is 23:59 on 28th April 2022 with interviews to take place w/c 9th May.
We offer a wide range of staff benefits, these include:
⦁ 36 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
⦁ Option to buy an extra 5 days annual leave
⦁ Up to 6% contributory pension
⦁ Flexible working policy
⦁ Genuine investment in your training and personal development
